The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Institute (AMMI) in association with the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering (COE) and the College of Science & Mathematics (CSM) at Rowan University invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professor of photonics position. We are seeking applicants to teach undergraduate courses within COE and CSM. Specifically, we are seeking applicants that have experience teaching introductory physics courses as well as advanced photonics courses to support our Photonics Certificate of Undergraduate Studies (CUGS) and Photonics Concentration in the B.S. Physics program. Applicants must have experience teaching computer-aided optical design, laser physics, and advanced electricity & magnetism. In addition to supporting the Photonics CUGS and Concentration via teaching responsibilities, the candidate will serve as the coordinator for both programs. Furthermore, we are seeking applicants with substantial industry experience to support missions and growing needs of AMMI, COE, and CSM. Successful candidates are expected to have demonstrated excellence in teaching and excellent written and oral communication skills.

We seek outstanding candidates who have a M.S., or higher degree, in electro-optics, physics, or photonics relevant engineering discipline, and a baccalaureate degree in physics, engineering from an accredited program, or other related discipline.

Salary Range : 10 Months – Range 18
