Interventional Radiology

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology seek an Interventional Radiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of Interventional Radiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows .

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed radiology residency program, as well as interventional radiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in interventional radiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Radiology Department is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and performing research that will enhance the detection and treatment of disease. We promote, develop and integrate advances in imaging technology and imaging-based therapeutic procedures to complement the clinical, educational and research missions of WVU. We have a growing clinical interventional radiology practice performing the full spectrum of interventional procedures. Facility equipment is excellent with outstanding clinic infrastructure in place, including a new hybrid 4D-CT suite. The section also covers nonvascular CT/US interventions and diagnostic CTA/MRA. You will join a renowned team of radiologists, oncologists, surgeons, and vascular specialists who are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of patients not only locally, but across the entire state of West Virginia and surrounding areas. The large catchment area and referral base provides an impressive diversity of cases which provides the opportunity to practice in an intellectually engaging environment.
