Our basic science underpins applications across each-and-every sector of the bio-economy, including Biotechnology, Ecology and Agritechnology. The Role Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bioinformatics with a particular emphasis on Alternative Splicing Analysis.

The successful applicant will be expected to analyse RNA-seq data from a number of patient derived PRPF8 and PRPF31 Retinitis pigmentosa cell-lines and isogenic controls for differential isoform usage and correlate it with CLIP-Seq. Integrative data analysis to include proteomics data may also be undertaken.

This post is fixed term for 18 months, as funding is available for this fixed period only.

The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague.
