Leads university-wide student retention efforts. Directs strategic planning, services, programming, staff management, and budget planning to promote student retention and persistence.
- Coordinates strategic retention efforts with deans and directors of units in Academic, Student, and Business Affairs
- Leads the Retention Steering Committee in collaboration with university stakeholders
- Works collaboratively with departments in University College to improve retention-focused student academic services
- Reviews retention data from multiple university systems to identify common barriers, equity concerns, and trends resulting in failure to progress
- Assess current campus retention efforts and provides accountability data and reporting to college and university leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years progressively responsible experience in university-wide retention efforts (e.g. SSS program, advising, tutoring, diversity and college access, strategic initiatives)
- Demonstrated track record of leading collaborative projects with multiple participants from multiple units
- Ability to work independently and collegially while managing multiple time-sensitive priorities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience with student success and retention strategies

Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in a field related to education, retention, student counseling, or similar experience
- Expertise in implementing student success and retention strategies
