Department of Business Analytics and Technology Management
Assistant Professor – Business Analytics
Tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Business Analytics and Technology Management beginning August 2022. This position is full-time with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Ph.D. degree in business analytics, business intelligence, decision sciences, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited business program is required. ABDs applicants considered, but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2023. Special consideration will be given to candidates with teaching and professional experience in developing analytics solutions using ERP in a business context. The department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community through their research, teaching, or service. The successful applicants must show competence in teaching business analytics or related courses and demonstrate great potential to develop a research portfolio appropriate to their discipline. The candidate is expected to teach both undergraduate and/or graduate courses using various delivery modes (in-class, online, or hybrid). The expected teaching load is 18 credit hours (6 classes) per school year with undergraduate class size averaging 32 students per class. Additional responsibilities include service to the Department, the College of Business and Economics, the University, and the profession, such as student mentoring, committee, and interfacing with the business community. Assistant Professor or Associate Professor
Tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor within healthcare management beginning August 2022. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as program leadership opportunities are available based on experience. Salary is competitive and includes state benefits package. Qualifications at time of appointment will determine rank. Primary responsibilities for a 10 month academic year include: 1) TEACHING - research active instructors teach 6 (3 credit) courses involving a wide range of healthcare administration or health services management courses ranging from macro-systems/policy classes to skills based courses in the human and technical domains to courses in other fields (longterm care, gerontology; non-profit management, public administration); effective student advising and mentoring are essential to a highly diverse student-centered program; 2) SCHOLARSHIP - development/continuation of an independent, focused area of scholarship that includes refereed publications, professional presentations, external funding, and to support collaboration among faculty and students; 3) SERVICE – active service to the Department, College University, Profession and to internship supporting area healthcare organizations. Research doctoral degree in health care management or related field. Tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position in the Physical Education/Teacher Education Program in the Department of Kinesiology beginning August 2022. Doctoral degree in Physical Education Teacher Education, Heath Education Teacher Education, or Health and Physical Education. ABD applicants considered, but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2023. Evidence of scholarship agenda focused in an area related to Health Education Teacher Education, Physical Education Teacher Education or Health and Physical Education is required. Training and expertise to teach courses in Physical Education and/or Health Education and Kinesiology-related courses in health, wellness and fitness are required. At least 3 years experience teaching PreK-12 Physical Education, Health Education and/or Health and Physical Education is required. Candidates wishing to be considered for the rank of associate professor should have 6 years experience teaching in higher education or comparable qualifications, and demonstrate a clear line of scholarship with outcomes. Primary responsibilities include: 1) TEACHING – research active instructors teach 6 courses during the academic year in a highly diverse, student-centered program; provide high quality instruction in a variety of health and/or physical education teacher education courses; advise and mentor students as they matriculate through the program and prepare to enter the profession; 2) SCHOLARSHIP – development/continuation of a focused area of scholarship that includes refereed publications, professional presentations, external funding, and involvement in scholarly projects with faculty and students; 3) SERVICE – active service participation at the Department, College, University, Profession and community levels. Aquatic Ecology/Evolutionary Biology
Two tenure-track Assistant Professor appointments in the area of Aquatic Ecology/Evolutionary Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences beginning August 2022. Salary is commensurate with experience. Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Successful applicants are expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching students from diverse backgrounds, to establish a productive research program involving undergraduate and master’s students, and to actively pursue extramural funding for that research. Individuals with postdoctoral experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring students from a diverse student body including students of color and non-traditional students. For all positions, the teaching load will usually consist of 1-2 classes each semester. Faculty will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level. Development of a course-based undergraduate research laboratory class (CURE) is encouraged and supported via faculty professional development opportunities. The candidates are expected to develop a field and/or collections-based research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students with an emphasis on aquatic ecosystems. Teaching responsibilities will include General Zoology and one graduate course in the candidate’s area of specialization, along with at least one of General Ecology, Marine Biology, Limnology, Ornithology, Biostatistics or other upper-level undergraduate course with a systems or organismal focus. Two tenure-track Assistant Professor appointments in the area of Integrative Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences beginning August 2022. Salary is commensurate with experience. Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Successful applicants are expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching students from diverse backgrounds, to establish a productive research program involving undergraduate and master’s students, and to actively pursue extramural funding for that research. Individuals with postdoctoral experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring students from a diverse student body including students of color and non-traditional students.
