The Center for Community Health Education Research and Service, Inc. (CCHERS) is a community-based organization that is a community/academic partnership established in 1991 with a $6 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation's Community Partnerships in Health Professions Education initiative. The partnership is comprised of Boston Medical Center, the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston University School of Medicine, Northeastern University Bouve College of Health Sciences and an established network of fifteen community health centers (FQHC) serving the racially and ethnically diverse populations of the City.

About the Opportunity:
The Community Advocacy Program (CAP) of the Center for Community Health Education, Research and Service (CCHERS) in the Office of Urban Health Programs and Policy (OUHPP) is seeking a Youth and Family Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
The person in this position will work in the Community Advocacy Program (CAP) of the Center for Community Health Education, Research and Service (CCHERS) in the Office of Urban Health Programs and Policy (OUHPP) in the position of Youth and Family Program Coordinator. The position will support the Community Advocacy Program by increasing outreach efforts, CAP awareness and intimate partner violence education in the community, as well as facilitate healthy relationships groups with high school students. Will also coordinate the teaching, research, and other activities for the career and technical education health assisting students at the high schools.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional office setting or customer service environment. Must be able to multi-task, exercise professionalism and good judgement, and work both as a team and independently to manage, prioritize and deliver on various responsibilities and tasks in a timely and effective manner. Proficiency with Office 365 applications and software, particularly Excel, is required. Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, and databases is preferred.

  • Experience with health education and conducting outreach.
  • Ability to work in a multifaceted role, as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with health care system and communities served by CAP.
  • Team player, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams in community health care settings.
  • Culturally competent and skilled in working with all levels of community and people from diverse ethnic and international backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work independently with strong sense of initiative.
