Monday -Thursday (Summer Semester)

REPORTS TO: Director, Financial Aid
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the New Jersey STARS programs, including outreach, student identification, awarding, certification, and reconciliation.
- Coordinates with the EOF department to determine student eligibility, awarding, certification, and reconciliation.
- Resolves C-Flags and other related issues.
- Assists with FAFSA workshops, presentations, and other college and community events.
- Assists students and parents with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, as needed.
- Counsels and advises students and prospective students about financial aid eligibility. procedures, verification, and award process.
- Manages confidential information in accordance with FERPA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Work experience in financial aid
- Excellent customer service skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge with NJ FAMS
- Working knowledge with the Educational Opportunity Fund Program
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated multitasking and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and within a team-oriented setting, use discretion, and apply judgement
- Ability to work with diverse groups
