Purpose of Position
Provide leadership for, manage, and direct Operations and Maintenance services and related resources. Primary Responsibilities
Develop additional policies, procedures, and processes as needed for efficient and effective operation of the physical plant and delivery of related services.

Ensure that policies and procedures established by the University are followed.

Establish and communicate performance expectations for direct and indirect reports.

Develop, manage, and execute operating budgets for Operations and Maintenance.

Lead and support sustainability efforts for the institution.

Coordinate budget estimates, including fixed costs and utilities, and implement programs and initiatives aimed at minimizing costs while continuing to provide comfortable, functional spaces.

Collaborate with Sr. Director, Planning Design and Construction to develop strategic priorities for physical infrastructure including capital and deferred maintenance needs.

Participate in planning processes, provide feedback, and support projects managed by Planning, Design, and Construction as needed.

Analyze complex issues related to Operations, Maintenance and Personnel, propose innovative solutions, and collaborate across departments and divisions to execute plans

Strategic planning regarding to staffing demands and long term department goals.

Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and inclusivity to drive employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed to provide support to AVP Facilities Management and other University leadership as needed, especially during emergencies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and eight years of related work experience required.

Position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as high emotional intelligence for resolving personnel issues.

Competency with Microsoft Office Suite needed as well as general computer literacy and a familiarity with CMMS tools.

High level of understanding of construction, renovation, and facility operations required.

Good understanding of Capital and Deferred Maintenance

Experience prioritizing multiple needs campus-wide and initiating related work that reduces the highest risk factors while staying within assigned budget resources.
