Wilkes University invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychology in Behavioral Neuroscience to begin August 2022. We seek a person with expertise in the biological underpinnings of behavior in an area related to Behavioral Neuroscience/Psychophysiology. The successful candidate will be involved in the continued development of our newly established Neuroscience major. The candidate will be expected to teach advanced undergraduate courses including Research Methods, Behavioral Neuroscience Seminar, and specialty courses in their area of expertise. The typical teaching load is 12 credits per semester.

Candidates should have broad training in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology, must demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, and provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly productivity. Candidates will also be expected to develop an active research program involving undergraduate students, advise undergraduate students, and perform university and professional service. Preference will be given to candidates who embrace the University's culture of developing mentoring relationships. A Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience at the time of appointment is required. ABD's will be considered if degree completion will occur by August 2022. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
