The Kenyon College Department of Economics invites
aspiring and experienced assistant professors to apply for a new
tenure track position named the Wright
Family Chair in Economics. This position has been created for a
scholar whose research and teaching interest lie in the area of
Political Economy, Public Choice, the history of economic thought,
and New Institutional Economics.
A qualified candidate must have a Ph.D. no later than
July 31, 2022, demonstrate an interest in teaching undergraduates,
exhibit a promising research agenda in one or more of the fields
mentioned above and show a commitment to creating a classroom
environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds can
flourish.
The teaching load for this position is five courses
per year. In addition, the Wright Family Chair presents the
opportunity to develop programming with the
Center for Study of American Democracy. Salary is competitive
with other highly selective liberal arts colleges.
