Performs contract review, analysis and reporting for the Business Services to ensure contracts, policies, procedures, agreements and activities are compliance with Texas state law and University of Houston policy requirements.

Job Duties:

  1. Responsible for reviewing, workflow and execution of Administration and Finance (A&F) and Student Affairs & Enrollment Services UH Standard and Non-Standard agreements processed through Business Services.
  2. Consults with Office of Contract Administration (OCA) on contract proposals and inquiries. Ensures final contracts submitted for approval are correct in form and meet all university and Texas state law requirements.
  3. Coordinates and submits annual Contract Delegation Signature Authority memos to OCA.
  4. Manages and maintains SharePoint contract tracking system.
  5. Performs contract analysis and reporting for Business Services management.
  6. Conducts contract trainings for Divisions of A&F, Student Affairs & Enrollment Services, Houston Public Media (HPM) and College of Medicine (COM) to ensure compliance with Texas state law and all university policy requirements.
  7. Recommends and reviews contract amendments.
  8. Provides both general advice and direct support to Departments as it relates to contracts.
  9. Provides both general advice on contract inquiries, and direct support to Departments Updates policies and procedures related to contract management and reporting, as required.
  10. Generates ad-hoc reports for Business Services Management as needed. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 5 years experience.

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.

Certification/Licensing: None.

Addtional Information / Perferred Qualfications:

Previous higher education experience in contract compliance a plus.

Attention to details and the ability to handle confidential information with diplomacy.
