About the Opportunity:
The Media Services Organization is looking for a new Media Services Manager

Responsibilities:
The Media Services Manager is responsible for the equipment used in the College of Arts, Media and Design lab spaces. Responsibilities will include:

Oversee and manage the centralized equipment inventory and tracking system. Maintain asset management system integrating all new photographic, video and music equipment. Supervise coop in equipment checkout system beyond standard work hours. Maintain and perform routine service on all equipment. Track equipment use and develop a replacement plan. Run and maintain large format printers for photo students and College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD). Hire, train, institute guidelines, prepare work schedules, monitor performance, and delegate responsibilities for Work Study and Coop Students. Manage daily and long-range planning of budgetary matters in conjunction with Director of Media Services Organization CAMD budget. Execute all financial matters; create purchase orders, place orders and track delivery of equipment, supplies, hardware, and software, and manage use of University ProCard. Instruct Professors, full time Work Study Students, part time Work Study Students, Lab Volunteers, Photo Students, and Art+Design Students in the proper use of Photo Lab facilities and equipment. Teach new employees the rules, regulations, and procedures of the Lab. Provide assistance to Students during class and non-class hours. Train Students and Instructors in new and specialized equipment or software. Perform in-class demonstrations and lead specialized seminars. Perform other projects/duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required, 4-6 years of experience in photographic technology (digital, analog, studio lighting and large format printing). Experience in maintaining and repairing photo and computer equipment. Three years training or teaching in higher education. 3 years professional level computer and photo/video lab design.
