Department of Ophthalmology (School of Medicine)
The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for a
full-time Research Scientist position at the University of
Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The selected candidate
will be responsible for conducting ocular cell biology,
biochemistry and microscopy experiments as part of a newly
NIH-funded research project. This involves:
- Preparing biological and other specimens for imaging and ocular
cell biological and biochemical testing and to acquire, analyze and
publish related data.
- Maintaining the ocular cell biology, biochemistry and
microscopy equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical
reports and archive data.
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in a biological or biomedical
science field and solid experience in ocular cell biology methods
and in microscopy techniques as well as a minimum of 2 years of
postdoctoral training in ocular cell biology.
Full Time/Part Time
