Job Summary

The Assistant Director plans, coordinates, and implements all communication and outreach efforts for the Enrollment Management division - including all written and electronic communication, websites, and emerging channels of interaction (e.g. social media). Develops and updates all forms of publications for Enrollment Management. This position is responsible for maximizing the use and integration of the Slate CRM to manage relationships with prospective students and their families. The Assistant Director also serves as a back up to provide oversight of the GC Welcome Center and tour program.

Develops and implements specific communication plans for both current and prospective students and their families. Creates email content, website content, publications, letters. etc. to aid in recruitment and retention efforts. Programs communication campaigns in the Slate CRM to support recruitment efforts. Coordinates name purchase strategies, inquiry management, and application generation efforts for Enrollment Management division. 

Plans specific university communication designed to showcase the university as well as promote student academic success. Collaborates closely with enrollment management leadership team to develop and implement individual communication pieces as well as specific communication plans and strategies designed to enhance recruitment and retention. 

Responsibilities

Publications and electronic materials - 20
Responsible for designing and development of both print and electronic materials for Enrollment Management offices. Familiarity with design of promotional materials. Responsible for meeting deadlines and developing timely communication pieces.

Slate CRM Oversight - 20
Coordinates with Admissions to maximize functionality available in Slate (CRM) to develop communication plans and strategies. Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems. Coordinates with Admissions team to use full functionality of Slate (CRM).

Communication Campaigns - 20
Oversees the development an implementation of communication plans and strategies for the Enrollment Management division. Knowledge and understanding of recruitment and retention strategies. .

Back-up oversight of GC Welcome Center - 20
Serves as back-up to oversee the successful operation of the GC Welcome Center and Campus Tour Program. Organizational and technical skills. Coordinates functions of the Welcome Center when Assistant Director of New Student Programs and GC Welcome Center is not available.

Supervision - 10
Supervises and oversees the activities of student employees. Ability to lead and train student employees. 

Other duties assigned - 10
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management.

Qualifications 
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years or related experience

Other Required Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of recruitment and retention strategies. Successfully develop and implement communications plans and strategies for Enrollment Management division.

Required Experience
Two years or more of successful full time administrative and management level experience. Successful development and implementation of communication plans. Knowledge of CRM - Slate - Coordinates with Admissions to maximize functionality available in Slate (CRM) to develop communication plans and strategies.
