- High School Diploma; up to one year of employment as a Theater technician or other equivalent experience at Prince George’s Community College Center for Performing Arts, or other performing arts venues.
- A comparable amount of training and experience may be
substituted for the minimum qualifications.

- Assist with checking in of guests, scanning tickets, coat check and seating guests during appropriate points in the performance and monitoring theater patrons for prohibited items such as food, recording and camera use.
- Assist Box Office Coordinator with various tasks including ticket sales, answering customer questions over the phone and at window and preparing tickets for will call and creating signage for events.
- Greet and provide excellent customer experience to all who enter the doors of the Center Performing Arts attending theater and gallery events.
- Assist House Manager with artists hospitalities set-up, pre-show check list, monitoring of guests during events, post-show checklist and other duties as assigned.
- Assist and perform activities, set-up, installation, and operation of requirements on the stage and in the Theater space during a work-shift or event and act as a point of contact between the group or organization using the CPA and other Theater Assistants.
- Assist and perform in the cleaning of the stage and Theater spaces at the beginning of a work-shift or event and the restoration of the stage at the end of a work-shift or event.
- Assist and perform in the set up and breakdown of all scenery and other technical/logistical requirements the work-shift or event may require.
- Assist and perform in the shifting/manipulation of all stage scenery during a work-shift or event. • Assist in the safe entrance and exit of talent and individuals from stage, especially during a work-shift or event involving large numbers of people.
- Assist and perform in related activities, set-up, installation, and operation of any special effects (i.e. stage fog) that may be required for a work-shift or event.
- Assist and perform in related activities, set-up, installation, and operation of any rigging and/or fly system needs that may be required for a work-shift or event.
- Assist and perform in related activities, set-up, installation, and operation of any lighting equipment that may be required for a work-shift or event.
- Assist and perform in related activities, set-up, installation, and operation of any sound equipment that may be required for a work-shift or event.
- Assist and perform in facilitating student learning and supervise student volunteers in the technical Theater area.
- Represents the College in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Assist and perform in the accommodations provided to disabled patrons.
- Assist and perform with the Assistant Technicals and Supervisor Event Support Staff; and/or another Group or Organization’s Staff, in the execution of a work-shift or presentation of an event.
- Assist and perform in monitoring the overall physical condition of the stage and the Theater spaces; coordinating or assisting in repairs as possible and reporting problems that cannot be corrected to the Assistant Technicals or Supervisor Event Support Staff.
- Ensures safe egress of all aisles and exits of the stage and Theater spaces, maintaining a safe distance around objects for safety. •
- Assist and perform in executing technical Theater maintenance and improvement of equipment, stage, and Theater spaces; coordinate and assist in repairing equipment or when necessary make appropriate arrangements to have equipment repaired. • Performs related work as required.
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
