Job Description Summary

The Coordinator will primarily be responsible for coordinating the development, and delivery of technology training programs and materials related to enterprise, business and learning software applications at the college. The Coordinator will curate existing resources of training materials from vendors, training providers and power users as well as develop webinars and workshops as needed to ensure customized technology training solutions in both face-to-face and online formats for a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, the Coordinator will partner with multimedia technologists and instructional designers to maintain a knowledge base of how to web-based resources that will support “just in time” learning.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Associate degree or equivalent formal training in a related field.
  2. Combination of education in multimedia development/technology training for a total of 6 years.
  3. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  1. Conducts a needs analysis to determine the institution’s technology training needs.
  2. Supervise and evaluate assigned staff.
  3. Applies adult learning theories and best practices for the development and delivery of live training in face-to-face and online formats.
  4. Designs and delivers training covering enterprise and business systems, applications, and associated processes in face-to-face and online formats.
  5. Plans the appropriate training schedules, works with others to schedule the training, ensures resources are adequate, judges the effectiveness of current training content and methods, and identifies new training methods using the latest technology.
  6. Recommends and curates vendor or web- based technology training resources for departments or other groups.
  7. Collaborates with vendors and internal areas to identify and leverage power users and subject matter experts to produce and deliver technology training.
  8. Assesses department and/or individual technology training needs or requirements.
  9. Establishes a community of practice to define common ERP workflows across different user populations .
  10. Creates a functional awareness about training through special communication efforts, video, and informational workshops.
  11. Prepares reports on program activities to evaluate quality-of-services and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
  12. Produces technical content for documentation, videos, graphics, presentations, and other learning content for online, face-to-face training, and other deliverables/platforms.
  13. Exhibits proficiency in web-based knowledge and learning management systems and applications.
  14. Promotes a culture of continual learning and digital literacy.
  15. Researches and recommends emerging technologies and their applicability to training.
  16. Creates content that is organized and checked for quality prior to delivery to users.
  17. Assists key functional users in developing and implementing content in compliance with College web standards and procedures.
  18. Ensures production of content that adheres to applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations, including copyright law and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508.
  19. Demonstrates organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
  20. Communicates effectively by visual, oral and written form with staff.
  21. Promotes and models a team approach while conducting daily operations.
  22. Supports and maintains high ethical standards of conduct and procedures to assist in ensuring the security of the College’s technology assets and data.
  23. Participates with institutional committees, initiatives, projects, and work groups.
  24. Engages regularly in individual professional development related activities to remain current with technology trends and work processes including trainings, vendor presentations, user group meetings, conferences and seminars.
  25. Responsible for complying with all required College mandated training within the prescribed timelines.
  26. Performs other duties as assigned.


  1. Experience with coordinating the development and implementation of training programs.

  3. Experience with building internal and external partnerships to produce effective solutions.
  4. Experience communicating in clear and concise formats to explain how to perform technical tasks.
  5. Experience with producing content that adheres to applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations, including copyright law and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508.
  6. Proficiency in the use of knowledge and learning systems and applications.
  7. Organizational, time management, and problem solving skills associated with coordinating training.
  8. Demonstrated customer service skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals within diverse groups (e.g., faculty, staff, and students.)
  10. Ability to effectively communicate in spoken and written Standard English.
  11. Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Job Requirements

  1. Applicant must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  2. Must be able to work flexible schedule including some evening hours.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  4. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. Citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
