Assistant Professor of Speech Language Pathology

The University of Toledo Speech-Language Pathology program is seeking an enthusiastic professor, who is interested in contributing to graduate and undergraduate education in an Assistant professor position. The program is accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. The Assistant Professor duties require teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level which includes advising students, preparing syllabus, and preparing lectures and tests. Assistant Professor responsibilities also include scholarly activities; establishing and maintaining a research; applying for externally-funded grants, and making the results of the research public in indexed, peer reviewed scholarly journals or by other methods that allow the work to make an impact.  Other duties include: provide service on college, university and professional committees; community service including making meaningful connection with schools, educational institutes and community organizations; and attendance at, and participation in college and university events. The Assistant Professor is required to schedule a minimum of five office hours per week during each academic semester.  In summary, job duties include a combination of teaching, research and service. This is a 9-month position, with possibility of teaching in the summer term.  Speech-Language Pathology at UToledo is a growing program, and the UToledo Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic serves a diverse clinical population that offers experiential and clinical training to both undergraduate and graduate students. Requirements:

The minimum requirement for the Assistant Professor position is a Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology or a closely related field.
