Job Summary
This position is located at Auburn University in Auburn, AL. This is a one-year limited term position. Continued employment is based on the continuation of extramural funding and is subject to renewal on an annual basis. *
The Administrator, Outreach Programs position will work closely with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Program EFNEP Coordinator to enhance and support programmatic and fiscal administration for the EFNEP team. The team consists of approximately 30 county and state staff members. In conjunction with the EFNEP team, the Administrator, Outreach Programs will develop, manage, implement, and evaluate a statewide Extension program. With a $2 million annual budget, this position ensures the federal mandate is met by targeting limited-resource and socially disadvantaged audiences. Specifically, this position focuses on community-based nutrition and physical activity interventions. Work will be done in collaboration with the EFNEP leadership team, county Extension teams, including AU EFNEP educators, other Alabama Extension and University faculty, external partners, and state and national colleagues.
Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with federal, AU, and ACES policies
Audit county records to ensure policy compliance
Manage day-to-day expenditure tracking
Oversee budget projections and tracking of carryover dollars
Track fiscal data for grant awards
Identify continuous training opportunities as mandated by federal partner
Lead special projects (e.g., increase cooking skills among EFNEP youth and adults)
Develop processes and systems to create efficiencies within EFNEP implementation and evaluation
Assist with development and dissemination of impact statements, federal reporting, and project summaries
Education Level
