Job Summary

The Career Services Specialist administers the Supply Chain Management ( SCMN ) Professional Experience Program ( PEP ) by facilitating student and employer connections, overseeing documentation, determining registration approval, and serving as a general liaison between faculty, students, and internship employers.

Essential Functions

  • Implement policies, processes, standards, and registration for students enrolled in SCMN 3910 and SCMN 3920 through the pre-internship Canvas course.
  • Review documentation and applications for internships and facilitate student/faculty connections for practicum prior to registration.
  • Manage the enrollment process of students in to SCMN 3920 and SCMN 3910.
  • Provide registration lists and student documentation to the SCMN faculty member responsible for instruction and grading of SCMN 3920 and SCMN 3910 courses.
  • Meet with all students who have accepted internships prior to enrolled term to distribute syllabus and review course requirements before the students leave campus for internships.

  • Maintain records of participations, completion, and performance of participants of SCMN - PEP activities using Canvas and Salesforce.
  • Ensure that all SCMN majors fulfill their professional experience obligation prior to graduation.
  • Catalogue intern reports into the pre-internship Canvas course.
  • Work with the SCMN Program Champion to add internship employer contacts to the employer database

  • Assess employer professional experience proposals and job descriptions for approval for academic credit.
  • Review documentation and applications for all professional experience candidates.

  • Using Salesforce and Qualtrics, compile and report out statistics regarding internship salaries, student participation, employer engagement, etc.
  • Serve as information source to students, faculty and staff on issues related to SCMN internship data.

  • Verify internship employment offers submitted by students.
  • Manage communication with SCMN students seeking internship or practicum experiences.
  • Create and maintain the internship resume book using Handshake.
  • Coach SCMN students in groups and individually regarding the internship process and opportunities.
  • Inform internal stakeholders as needed regarding the SCMN - PEP .
  • Mentor SCMN majors on internship/practicum search process.

Education Level

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

No experience for Level I. Salary Range: $31,300 - $52,100

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Level II is 2 years experience in coordinating and/or providing career services and/or programs. Salary Range: $35,000 – $58,400
Level III is 4 years experience in coordinating and/or providing career services and/or programs. Salary Range: $39,300 – $65,500
