The Assistant Professor duties require teach courses within the curriculum of the Respiratory Care Program; carry out administrative duties for the program as assigned by Chair of the School of Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences; participate in undergraduate and graduate courses within area of specialization; pursue external grant funding and establish an independent/collaborative research program resulting in presentations at the national level and publications in refereed journals. Other duties include providing service on college, university and professional committees; community service including making meaningful connection with schools, educational institutes and community organizations; and attendance at, and participation in college and university events. The Assistant Professor is required to schedule a minimum of five office hours per week during each academic semester.
Requirements:
The minimum requirement for the Assistant Professor position is a Ph.D. in Respiratory care, exercise Science or closely related field; 2 years of clinical experience in the field of respiratory care (as full time, part time, contingent or as a student); and credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and either licensed to practice respiratory care in the state of Ohio or eligible to obtain state licensure.
