The Center for Art, Design and Community Engagement K-12 (Center K-12) is searching for a Temporary Program Assistant who is a friendly and skilled professional with excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills. The Program Assistant will proactively identify and address the daily needs of the office to ensure smooth and responsive operation, oversee communication outreach, program logistics and program enrollment. The ideal candidate will be an organized, effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is a flexible team player.

If you are interested in serving as Temporary Program Assistant, you will need experience in a busy office with a variety of stakeholders, and knowledge of what makes an excellent atmosphere for great customer service.

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • As the first point of contact with the Center, create a welcoming environment for various stakeholders from a variety of racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexuality, geographic, cultural, age, physical ability, and socioeconomic groups, including Pratt Students, Pratt Young Scholars and parents of Saturday Art School students. You will assist walk-in visitors to the office, manage phone calls and respond to inquiries about programs
  • Prepare send and track invoices for program payments, prepare and process purchase orders, payment vouchers, purchase requisitions and related paperwork
  • Monitor and maintain accurate student attendance records and communicate concerns to families
  • Ensure that the artwork of all Pratt Young Scholars is documented and archived
