The Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for one or more full-time tenure-track faculty. We welcome applications with research interests in applied mathematics, and particularly encourage applications in mathematical biology, topological data analysis, quantum information theory, mathematics and climate science, and numerical analysis. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, initiate and carry out independent research, and provide service to the department, the university and the profession. Applicants are required to have (or expected to receive) a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Mathematics or a related field. Target start date is August 16, 2022. Salary and teaching load are competitive.
