Description

  • Teach secondary education courses and supervise secondary education field placements.
  • Coordinate our secondary education programs, both undergraduate and graduate.
  • The successful candidate will also teach departmental core courses, collaborate with the department to maintain and expand programming, and maintain compliance with state education standards.
  • They will also advise education majors.
  • Commitment to college teaching excellence (24 credit hours per academic year), scholarship, and service to the University are required.

    Requirements:

    The successful candidate for this position will possess an earned doctorate and certification in secondary education. (Doctoral candidates, with a documented plan for completion by August 2022, may also be considered.) Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. Candidates will be asked to submit a statement of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A candidate with an interest in interdisciplinary secondary education methods and inclusive and social justice education is preferred. Additional Information: SALARY: Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Agreement. STARTING DATE: August 2022
