About the Opportunity:
The Department of Music is looking for a new Administrative Officer.

The Administrative Officer reports directly to the Department Chair and oversees the daily operations, management and direction of operational aspects of the Department of Music. This position is responsible for management of the operating budget, human resources, and financial activities of the department. S/he will work with the Department Chair on curricular and departmental initiatives. This position also supports the budget, and office needs for the faculty, staff and researchers of the Department. The position will work to ensure overall effectiveness in the areas of business administration and support to the chair.

Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant administrative experience is required. Experience in academic fields relevant to art, media arts and design preferred. Strong background in business administration and budget management. Solid interpersonal, intellectual, organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential. Ability to multitask and take initiative. Competent in using Microsoft office programs. Experience preferred in Banner, EPAF, and Concur.
