Position Description
The University of Findlay invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position to teach primarily in the
intervention specialist licensure program in the College of
Education (COE). The COE is seeking a candidate with
experience working as an Intervention Specialist in K-12 schools.
The COE prepares caring, competent, reflective, and highly
qualified professionals. The college offers undergraduate and
post-baccalaureate licensure in Early Childhood, Middle Childhood,
Intervention Specialist, AYA and Multi-Age areas as well as several
endorsements. The licensure programs have a strong field
experience component and the college is accredited through
CAEP. The College has a Master of Arts in Education,
principal and superintendent licensure, EdD program, and EdD in
School Psychology.
Successful candidates will have a terminal degree,
previous intervention specialist and/or administrative experience;
previous university teaching, including online teaching experience;
with a preference toward candidates with CAEP experience. The
applicant should be willing to be a Team Leader for Intervention
Specialist as well as chair and serve on doctoral committees. This
position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates
must be committed to student-centered education as well as
professional development and academic scholarship.
Review of applications will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled. For optimal consideration
for this exciting opportunity, include a cover letter; current
Resume or Curriculum Vitae; a statement of teaching philosophy (for
faculty positions) and the contact information for three
professional references with your application.
