The tasks of the course instructor (collaborating professor)  would be the following:

 

  • Coordinate a theory classroom for the subject (70 - 80 students).
  • Design of continuous evaluation activities.
  • Design and correction of final exams.
  • The course will be completely in english.

 

We ask:

  • University studies related to Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, ...).
  • Knowledge and experience in the professional practice of the professor in the area of Computer Architecture or Digital Electronics.
  • Experience in university teaching and any indicator of knowledge or experience in other areas, such as educational counseling, management of educational institutions, research, or educational guidance.
  • Fluent oral and speaking english.
  • Having a separate main line of work is an indispensable requirement for the selection process.

 

We value:

  • Doctorate in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics.
  • Previous experience in innovative university settings.
  • Knowledge of the UOC's educational model.



Affiliated teaching staff are experts in their fields who, while employed elsewhere, are able to combine their main line of work with a collaboration at the UOC. Therefore, having a separate main line of work is an indispensable requirement for the selection process. 

 

Based in an online learning environment, course instructors introduce, guide, plan, stimulate, focus, motivate and tie together students' learning processes with a proactive approach. They provide teaching assistance to students both individually and collectively, monitoring their learning over the course of the semester. They address students' doubts, offer examples and further explanations, stimulate debates, encourage participation in forums, and provide personalized feedback to help students' learning processes. Course instructors may also engage in other activities related to the creation of learning resources.
