Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics in the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, anticipates the appointment of two faculty positions, effective August 2022, at the junior (tenure-track assistant professor) level. Salary will be competitive.

Strong candidates working in all areas of applied mathematics, applied probability and stochastic processes will be considered. Applicants should have excellent research accomplishments and potential, a Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching. Post-doctoral experience is expected, although not absolutely required. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is 3 semester courses per academic year.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in the mathematical sciences or a related field; excellent research accomplishments; a strong commitment to teaching.
