The Biology Department at Vassar College seeks a biology instructor to team-teach two courses in Introductory Biology for the spring 2022 semester.

Position Description
The Biology Department at Vassar College seeks a biology instructor to team-teach two courses in Introductory Biology for the spring 2022 semester. Both of these courses are fully designed and have a standardized syllabus. Biology 107 ‘Energy Flow in Biological Systems' is a lecture course which meets 3 times a week. The instructor would lecture for one half of the semester, attend lectures the other half, develop and grade assignments and exams, and answer student questions. Biology 108 ‘Information Flow in Biological Systems' has both a lecture and lab component, and the instructor would be responsible for 3 weeks of lectures and teaching one 4 hr laboratory section. The course has a laboratory manual and the instructors of the course meet weekly to discuss the laboratory. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred and a Master's or PhD in a biological science required.
