Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty for the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program in the College of Business. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview.

Current teaching opportunities for the Spring 2022 semester include:

  • Doctoral mentors

The Concordia University Chicago DBA focuses on practice and research, contributing to extending the theoretical basis of the particular field and extending the use of business knowledge through application. CUC DBA students integrate academic and dissertation preparation through a tightly monitored schedule concurrent with course work, rather than in a linear fashion in which students take courses first and then write their dissertation.

The mentor is key in the process of student success. The DBA is designed to be completed in three years. Students begin working with their mentor during the second semester of their enrollment.

The mentor is responsible for working with their students to develop all portions of the Dissertation Proposal through the final Dissertation Study. The mentor teaches accompanying mentor course rooms and dissertation course rooms as a member of the DBA faculty. Usually, the mentor evolves to be the chair of the student's dissertation committee.
