Position Summary:

The Director of Clinical Education (DCE) is a 12-month position responsible for developing, conducting and coordinating the clinical education program. The DCE must work effectively with clinical education faculty to address the diverse needs of the student and assess clinical education site placement for students. The DCE ensures that the supervision and feedback provided to students is appropriate for each student in each clinical education experience. The DCE is expected to meet expectations for teaching, research, service and program assessment to meet accreditation standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Teaching load of the faculty is 12-hours per semester

Faculty work load also includes research, creative activity, service, and professional development in the best interest of the students and community at large

All faculty members are expected to assume student academic advisement responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching loads

Other duties as assigned

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:

The DCE must have be doctorally prepared (Doctor of Physical Therapy or academic doctoral degree) and have a minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice

Two (2) years of clinical practice must include experience as a Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Instructor in physical therapy, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in teaching, curriculum development and administration in a physical therapy education program

The DCE must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arkansas
