The Department of Music at Harvard University seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor in Musicology. We welcome applications from candidates representing a broad range of areas, including African-American music, Latinx Music, ecomusicology, popular music, sociology and politics of musical cultures, global music history, critical historiography, gender studies, digital media studies.
We seek an innovative researcher/teacher with a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2022. The tenure-track professor will be responsible for teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses will include seminars for graduate and undergraduate students, as well as introductory courses for non-concentrators.
