The goals of the infectious disease prevention projects are to evaluate the impact and efficacy of research projects aimed at improving health outcomes for Native American families and communities. Study data results will focus on public health outcomes specific to the approved protocols at the worksite.
We are seeking aResearch Program Coordinator(RPC) who will work under the direct supervision of the Sr. Research Program Coordinator. The RPC will primarily assist in the coordination of day-to-day logistical and operational tasks for various research studies at the site. The RPC will interact with the investigators, collaborators, and participants in a research environment. This person will assist in coordinating and fulfilling research duties in accordance with good clinical practices in such activities as obtaining informed consent, data and specimen collection, and patient follow-up over time. This role reports to the Sr. Research Program Coordinator.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities of research studies within a site to assure timelines are met and data collection is accurate and complete.
- As a senior member of the team assure adherence to the study protocols by junior team members on epidemiologic research and clinical trials under FDA oversight.

Provide input on operational aspects of protocols and
make recommendations on research study
issues.
Attend meetings with local partners to report
findings, and obtain input and feedback on Johns Hopkins studies in
the community.
- Coordinate reporting requirements in cooperation with community and tribal partners.
- Recruit and consent research participants;
- Verify participant eligibility by reviewing inclusion/exclusion criteria with participants
- Collect participant specimens (e.g., blood draws, urine, or saliva) and other patient data from a variety of sources; Phlebotomist
- Schedule follow-up visits for study participants
- Train and mentor new Research Program Assistants on research studies
Administrative Responsibilities:
Provides complex administrative and project support for the Center’s field-based faculty members and staff. Under the supervision of the Research Nurse Supervisor will exercise sound judgment in the resolution of administrative needs in the office.

Arranges meetings, draft and edit correspondence,
screen and triage incoming calls and
correspondence.
Assists with special projects and
events.
Works as part of a team committed to excellence in
customer service.
Oversees office operations in accordance with
established site policies and trains others as
appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and some related experience required. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Current driver’s license
issued by the state of residence and good driving record
required.
Ability to travel with
overnight stays required as needed. Some evening, weekend and
holiday work may be required.
May be required to float
to other sites. Guidelines regarding travel time and project
vehicle use will be clarified based on specific site
needs.
This position will
maintain background clearance as required by the employer and any
collaborating agencies.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
