Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the part time, temporary position of Risk Management Assistant. The Risk Management Assistant will support with compliance related to COVID-19 and its variants.

This position reports directly to the Risk Management Coordinator and is located in River Forest, IL. The approximate end date of this position is May 2022, but may end sooner depending on university needs.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assists with the COVID vaccine clinic and testing operations as directed
  • Tracks, reports, and manages confidential vaccination status and testing records
  • Performs and documents contact tracing for positive and close contact cases
  • Communicates non-compliance to the Human Resources Department or Dean of Students as appropriate for enforcement
  • Establishes cooperative relationships with a wide variety of campus constituents
  • Exhibits a service mentality toward all stakeholders
  • All communication with stakeholders is effective, professional, accurate, and timely
  • Improves work performance and that of others by being receptive to and appropriately sharing information
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Candidates must be committed to the mission and identity of Concordia University Chicago. Additionally, they must profess values congruent with the teachings of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Skill Sets:

  • Strong administrative skills and ability to handle confidential information
  • Technically proficient with computer programs; specifically Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & BANNER preferred
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic supporter of Lutheran higher education and Concordia University Chicago

Minimum Experience Preferred:

  • 1-2 years' work in an administrative assistant or related position
  • Familiarity with/experience in a Higher Education environment is a plus

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Associates/Bachelor's Degree preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. No benefits are associated with this position.
