Position Summary:

This position plays a key role within the Recruitment Strategy Team in the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS). The team manages the student recruitment strategy and recruitment process from point-of-inquiry through enrollment for select programs at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. This role demands a high level of collaboration, coordination and organization, effective communication skills particularly with diverse populations, skills in problem solving, public speaking and demonstrated ability to succeed in dynamic, fast-paced team environments. The key responsibilities for this role include: recruiting students from new lead through enrollment via phone, mail, events, and digital technologies; tracking successful recruitment strategies to influence new marketing and recruitment tactics; and developing relationships with businesses, other schools, and alumni to support program and industry specific recruitment efforts.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in college student development, student affairs, higher education, sales, business, marketing, advertising, communication, or a related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-One year (two years strongly preferred) of professional experience (including relevant internships) in one or more of the following areas: college admissions and recruitment, academic affairs, student services, academic program management, sales, marketing, advertising, communications, customer service. Experience in higher education preferred.

-Experience with Microsoft applications.

-Experience with the following applications and software preferred: Student Information Systems (preferably PeopleSoft), Project management software (preferably WorkZone), Marketing Automation tools (preferably Eloqua), CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).

-Proven success meeting deadlines and goals while managing multiple projects.

-Experience communicating with various project stakeholders.

-Experience working autonomously and as a part of a team.

-Experience developing and implementing action, recruitment, customer service, sales, student development, or marketing plans.

-Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a two-year fixed-term terminal position with the option to convert to renewable pending program and funding availability.

This position may be working remote, hybrid, or in the office.

The incumbent will be expected to have hours available to work during prime calling times such as afternoons and early evenings. Hours may include evenings and some weekends.

This position is eligible for any of the following: 100% remote work; partial remote-work; or fully on-site. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet to perform the work on an employer provided computer and on occasion to report to campus for meetings, training, or other activities.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 24 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $45,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
