Executive Director of Career Coaching and Employer Connections

Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis invites nominations and applications for Executive Director of Career Coaching and Employer Connections, a cabinet-level position.

Ivy Tech Community College is Indiana's largest public postsecondary institution and the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Ivy Tech has campuses throughout Indiana and also serves thousands of students annually online. It serves as the state's engine of workforce development, offering associate degree and short-term certificate programs, and trainings that align to the needs of the community. The College also offers courses and associate degree programs that seamlessly transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana, as well as out of state, for a more affordable route to a bachelor's degree.

Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis is the largest of the Ivy Tech campuses, with more than 800 employees serving over 30,000 students per year in Marion, Boone, and Hendricks Counties. Ivy Tech Indianapolis' Workforce and Career Development is housed under the newly launched Office of Career Coaching and Employer Connections. That department offers career experiences, work and learn, career coaching, and employer consulting.

The Executive Director reports to the Chancellor and indirectly to the Ivy Tech Community College System Vice President of Career Coaching and Employer Connections. The Executive Director's role is both student and employer facing; engaging with community partners is a critical aspect of the work. The Executive Director serves as the primary advisor to the Chancellor regarding career development of students and in fulfilling training, education, internships and other work-and-learn opportunities, and placement needs of employers in the campus service area. The Executive Director will hold a bachelor's degree and will have 5 years work experience, ideally including experience in education.
