Office of Institutional Research: The Data Analyst supports the university's planning and decision making by maintaining, cleaning, and analyzing institutional data. The data analyst assists with data collection, through institutional surveys and assessments, and internal and external reporting.

The Data Analyst will assist with data collection and analysis of institutional surveys and assessments, such as the National Survey of Student Engagement and the First Destination Survey and other graduate outcomes efforts; Provide institutional data for college guidebooks, the Delaware Cost Study, and other similar external data requests; Provide data for routine institutional research reporting, such as the Common Data Set and the Fact Book; Assist with data submission for IPEDS (federal) and HEI (state) reporting; Maintain and update the Institutional Research website; Design and run queries to obtain data from Banner, the OAS data warehousing tool, and other data systems; Develop reports and datasets to support ad hoc requests and additional decision making and planning needs across the University.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, social science field or a closely related field with heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis; 2 years’ professional experience with a minimum of 1 years' professional experience in higher education, preferably in a role involving data analysis. Experience may be gained concurrently with enrollment in an educational program. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience designing and administering surveys; strong knowledge of Excel, Access, SPSS, or similar, including query design to extract data; able to present data clearly, concisely, and objectively.
