Job Description Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor in the broad area of control systems beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. The individual selected for this position will be expected to secure research funding, collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary research projects, and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in the control systems area.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field with research interests in control systems at the time employment begins. Excellent communication skills required. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
We particularly seek candidates who are eligible to participate in research activities involving controlled unclassified information and ITAR / EAR restrictions and possess or be able to obtain a security clearance.
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the potential to 1) excel as a teacher in both undergraduate and graduate courses, 2) secure funding to support a research program, 3) mentor graduate students, and 4) publish research results in the appropriate scholarly outlets.
