Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities
This position is non-clinical and the general responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, safety planning, providing education/outreach to university community, serving on various university committees, non-clinical case management services, developing monthly reports for supervisor, providing assistance to survivors with obtaining accommodations for course work, along with supporting the student through university proceeding. The positions may require working some evening hours. Currently, this is a one year position. Minimum Hiring Standards
•Master’s degree or Master’s eligible in Social Work or related field.
•Experience or interest in working as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking
•Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice and cultural competence and the ability to work in a multicultural
environment
•Demonstrated skills in the ability to conduct educational presentations, trainings, small group facilitation
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time and prioritize tasks
•Ability to maintain accurate, confidential records
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
•Strong interpersonal skills Preferred Hiring Standards
Strong preference will be given top candidates who have experience designing violence prevention programming.
