Overview
The Instructional Coach will work with faculty/instructors to support development of teaching strategies for face-to-face as well as online classes. This includes one on one, small group, and university wide consultations, training sessions, workshops, and other programming.

Responsibilities
• Provides direct support for teaching of face to face, online, and hybrid classes in the form of individualized consultations and coaching in one on one and small group settings. Provides recommendations for course syllabi, student learning outcomes, and assessments, in addition to best practices for instruction.
• Conducts classroom observations and provides feedback to the instructor, as well as collaborating with the instructor to develop teaching improvement plans.
• Provides teaching models during live and recorded workshops and presentations on topics including but not limited to student engagement, course development, effective lecturing skills, use of instructional technology, and assessment related to student learning outcomes.
• Plans and facilitates faculty learning communities and discussion groups. Develops cohorts of instructors within schools or departments for discipline specific instructional support.
• Creates engaging professional development materials and programs related to instruction, in a variety of formats. Creates content for the CTE website such as resource guides and FAQs.

Qualifications
Master's Degree with two (2) years of professional experience teaching at the university level.
At least one (1) year professional experience in the following areas:
Working with faculty, teaching assistants or other instructional staff to improve teaching and learning.
Experience facilitating and delivering professional development and event organization, design and implementation.
Experience working within a Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard)
Preferred - One year or more of professional experience in any area below:
Experience building and/or teaching online courses.
Experience with providing professional development in the areas of inclusive and equitable instructional practices.
Experience working in a Center for Teaching Excellence (or its equivalent) at the university level
