Job Description
The Assistant Director of Digital & Advertising Strategies will lead the creation, coordination and evaluation of digital advertising campaigns on behalf of the Virginia Tech athletics department and the Hokie Club. Reporting to the Director of Digital & Database Strategies, this position will support cross-functional work by executing digital ad campaigns, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and delivering results inclusive of revenue generation, fan engagement and customer and donor retention.
Duties and responsibilities include the discussion of goals and needs for specific campaigns, the management and design of creative required to meet those goals, and the placing of targeted advertisements on search engines, social media and other digital platforms. This individual will also be tasked with optimizing strategies and implementing different versions for different markets and audiences based on performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and/or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field with relevant professional experience in a digital marketing role within a collegiate sports property, professional sports property, or agency setting.
