Description:
The School of Business, within the College of Applied and Social Sciences at the University of Mount Union invites applications for a full-time faculty colleague to teach in the sport business discipline beginning August 1, 2022. This is a tenure track appointment.

The School of Business at the University of Mount Union is comprised of undergraduate majors in accounting, economics, finance, human resources management, management, marketing, public relations, risk management and insurance, and sport business. Additionally, it offers minors in accounting, business administration, economics, entrepreneurship, leadership studies, and sport business. The School of Business offers a breadth of knowledge and career specific study through a robust curriculum and experiential learning opportunities. Undergraduate programs currently offered in the School of Business are accredited through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners and the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The School of Business also offers an online MBA program with two concentrations.


Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include teaching in a variety of undergraduate courses in Sport Business. Specifically, sport marketing/public relations, sport analytics, sport sales, and international sports are preferred. The candidate will be expected to serve as an advisor and mentor for undergraduate majors and support students in research. Additionally, the successful candidate will engage in professional development, scholarly activity, and service activities for the School of Business, the College of Applied and Social Sciences (CASS), the University, and the community.

Qualifications:
Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Sport Management, or closely related discipline. ABD may be considered at the designation of Visiting Professor. We seek candidates with demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. College/University teaching experience with preference given to individuals with previous teaching experience in the sport business discipline. A preference will be given to individuals with previous online teaching experience.

Compensation:
Competitive, based on qualifications. Fringe benefits include a 10% contribution by the University to TIAA/CREF after one year of service; contribution by the University toward hospitalization, major medical, disability, and group life insurance; tuition exchange for qualified dependents.
