Under the direction of the Associate Director of The Wellness Center, the Licensed Professional Counselor; Licensed Clinical Social Worker; or Licensed Clinical/Counseling Psychologist is responsible to provide the following services for University students: mental health intake assessments; triage evaluations; psychological evaluations; treatment planning; individual and group mental health psychotherapy; crisis intervention; psychological first aid; case management; referral services; and, as designated by the associate director, supervision of graduate trainees. The clinician works with university and Student Life staff across the following areas: the Academic Success Center, Student Health Services (SHS), Residential Learning and University Housing (RLUH), Community Standards and Commuter Services, ASCEND, Campus Recreation and Student Center, and community agencies to assist or lead the development and delivery of relevant programs, presentations, and events. The clinician hired for this position will be responsible for services at the Glassboro campus. The clinician provides confidentiality, accuracy and integrity of client interactions, treatment protocols and records. The clinician will provide direct clinical care, supervision to trainees, and may coordinate a specific program as identified by the Associate Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Master’s degree in Counseling, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology is required.

Experience: Our ideal candidate possesses an understanding of intersectionality and how it impacts the daily lives of student, faculty and staff. Cultural competence is of utmost importance. We seek individuals who are collaborative in nature, have strong communication skills, practice good self-care, maintain healthy boundaries, and possess the ability to manage a challenging workload while promoting a positive atmosphere and healthy relationships.

At least three (3) years clinical experience required in a mental health outpatient setting with demonstrated experience working with diverse adolescent/young adult populations; performing risk assessments, intake evaluation, individual and group psychotherapy; providing substance use services and supervision of other professionals and/or trainees.

Licensures/Certifications: Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW) Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed/License-Eligible as a Psychologist in the State of New Jersey.

As required by the State of New Jersey, must complete a criminal history check and have proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
