About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University's College of Professional studies is seeking a part-time, temporary Writing Specialist to support the Foundation Year program. The Foundation Year program is a first-year program that works exclusively with students from Boston. The program provides students with an array of wrap-around supports, including its own integrated writing center that provides one-on-one writing help and feedback.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
-Work with individual students on their writing during ½ hour synchronous online sessions
-Track student attendance and work completed during session
-Collaborate with fellow writing specialists and Foundation Year faculty about best practices for working with students
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree in English (or a related field)
is preferred. Additionally, it is preferred that applicants have experience with
writing instruction, as well as experience working with racially and ethnically diverse students at the high school or college level.

Additional Information:
This is a part-time (~15 hours/week) position. The pay rate is $25/hour. This is an on-ground position on Northeastern's Boston campus.
