The Director of Graduate Recruitment and Student Engagement will
lead the graduate student enrollment and admissions process.
Significant focus will be on the design, development, and
implementation of a comprehensive graduate recruitment plan for the
College and specialized plans across multiple programs. He or she
is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment plans
and strategies to enroll qualified graduate student candidates
across multiple graduate programs. Working closely
with the Dean to lead all graduate student recruitment, engagement,
and marketing efforts for the Graduate Education. Facilitates
advising and counseling of both prospective and admitted students
seeking information about graduate admissions. The Director will
also cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with
partners within and outside of the institution.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of progressively more
responsible management and experience with recruitment, marketing,
and engagement are required. Demonstrated leadership skills in
planning and directing recruitment efforts are also required.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
as well as demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with
culturally and ethnically diverse populations. Demonstrated
problem-solving and project management skills; ability to work
independently and as a part of a team; and the ability to analyze
data and make decisions relating to recruitment, marketing, and
engagement of students. Experience counseling, recruiting and
cultivating relationships with prospective and current students.
Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing and
recruitment strategies. Results-oriented and have excellent
writing and listening skills, outstanding interpersonal and
professional presentations skills, and a proven record of strong
decision-making abilities that leverages analytics, experience, and
sound judgment for sound leadership. The capacity to work
independently as well as with a team. Flexibility to travel
(approximately 40% of the time during the heavy recruitment
season), supervisory experience, experience with Banner, experience
with Slate or other CRM, Web Analytics experience, advanced skills
in MS Office products, and strong leadership experience is
required
