The College of Business and Economics (COBE) is AACSB-accredited
at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. With more than 68
full-time faculty members, COBE offers undergraduate education to
more than 3,200 students and seven distinct masters programs to
more than 600 students.
The Department of Management hosts the most majors in the College
of Business and Economics, with over 1,000 students majoring in
Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource
Management, International Business, or in Management in our
innovative online Management degree completion program. We provide
courses in four MBA programs, including our nationally recognized
online MBA program.
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Supports the University’s mission of providing student-centered,
quality education and is committed to the success of our students
and the university. This involves teaching effectiveness,
professional development, research and scholarly/creative
activities, institutional service, professional and community
service, student advising and involvement, and supervisory
responsibilities as assigned.
There are 2 positions available for hire at this time.
Summary of duties:
- Teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship in face-to-face and/or online formats. Initial teaching load is 2-2. Standard teaching load is 3-3 with possible reductions to 2-3 or 2-2 for research productivity.
- Be an active researcher. Publish in quality journals and be involved in the academic community.
- Serve on department, college, or university committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
A Ph.D. or DBA degree at the time of appointment in
entrepreneurship , with a secondary focus in strategic management,
from a nationally or internationally AACSB accredited
university.
Teaching experience in entrepreneurship and/or
strategic management at the graduate or undergraduate level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Refereed journal publications in entrepreneurship or related field.
- Professional business experience.
- Demonstrated dedication to service and collegial interaction with students, department, college, university, local community, state, and other professional areas.
- Experience in program development is a plus.
- Dedication to excellence in teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to use classroom technology.
- An appreciation and respect for diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
