Section Head, Electrophysiology, University of Washington

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding, commensurate with qualifications) to serve as Section Head of Electrophysiology. The Electrophysiology Section is a full service program that functions across three hospitals with cardiovascular and electrophysiology training programs. Duties of the position will include experienced and effective leadership with a strong commitment to patient care, medical education, and research. Successful candidate will attend on clinical service, teach electrophysiology and cardiology fellows and interested residents or students via didactic sand bedside teaching, and will be expected to mentor trainees and faculty.

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. The anticipated start date will January 1, 2022 or after.

Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (or foreign equivalent).  Successful candidates must have an academic track record with evidence of publications. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
