Olympic College is continuously recruiting for Screenwriting Adjunct Faculty (part-time) to teach multiple level/cluster courses in script writing, and serve as mentors for our screenwriting students. This position will primarily teach courses in person at the Shelton Campus.

Olympic College is home to award-winning Associate and Baccalaureate degree programs in Filmmaking. The programs combine the more traditional theory approaches of film studies with extensive hands-on instruction and active student engagement in each course. OC is seeking adjunct faculty members in the area of filmmaking that can incorporate this teaching approach into their pedagogy. Emphasis is on the practical and artistic elements of narrative storytelling.

Olympic College's Filmmaking department features a media production studio, dedicated editing suites, a sound stage, all new film production equipment, a screening theatre, and Mac computers with industry software. The program grants Bachelor and Associate degrees in Filmmaking, and is taught by current and former industry professionals. The department currently enrolls over 250 students a quarter and is rapidly growing. Olympic College is seeking adjunct faculty who can help maintain cutting edge instruction, bring an entrepreneurial spirit necessary to collaboratively assist in growing and guiding a department dedicated to serving the authentic needs of the digital filmmaker in the 21st century, and help take the department to the next level of national prominence.
