About the Opportunity:
This is an externally funded staff opportunity in the Bouve College of Health Sciences in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and specifically supports the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program. This position is 40 hours per week M-F. The Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program is dynamic and growing - working with innovative industry partners while partnering with Northeastern University faculty and staff. This position administratively supports this program.

The Fellowship Coordinator position is responsible for the administrative management of the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program, a revenue-generating partnership between the school of pharmacy and multiple funding partners. Under direction of the Manager of Fellowships, this externally funded position is responsible for the human resources operations, financial, and event planning elements of the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program. The program coordinator monitors/coordinates a high-volume of expenses and works in concert with the PI and department budget manager to oversee budgets. This role also oversees contract processing, projects and reporting, and engages with a variety of industry business partners and vendors. The program coordinator will additionally plan and execute several events throughout the year, including conferences, program events and dinners, an annual retreat, as well as professional development sessions and other events as needed. Other projects will be assigned by the Director of Fellowship Programs as needs arise for the program. Travel will be required locally and nationally for recruitment and program development activities including meetings, conferences, and events.

Associates degree and minimum of three years of related administrative experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Qualifications include:
  • Experience managing program budgets to include purchasing, reconciling and reporting. Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles strongly preferred.
  • Experience planning and coordinating events including contracting, purchasing, and logistics
  • Proven record of providing exceptional customer service to multiple, diverse constituents
  • Outstanding planning, time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Share Point
  • Ability to work fluidly with spreadsheet software.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills, ability to be resourceful and to work independently
  • Flexibility and ability to work fluidly in a team-oriented environment
