The University of Florida, Department of Chemistry, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Chemistry, broadly defined, as part of the UF Artificial Intelligence (AI) Initiative. Creative and energetic individuals who show promise or accomplishment in using data-driven and artificial intelligence-based approaches to solve the next generation of problems in rational design, synthesis, analysis and/or characterization of new molecular systems are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to conduct innovative research at the highest level and to establish an outstanding, independent, externally funded research program. We seek candidates with a record of excellence in research and scholarship and an ability to excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field; postdoctoral experience is desirable.
