The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a position as part-time lecturer to teach courses in Anthropology, with a specialization in Cultural Anthropology. This is a non-tenure track position and lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.

The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies combines degree programs in Religious Studies, Anthropology, and Liberal Studies.

The successful candidate must have at least a MA in Anthropology (PhD preferred), with a specific background in Cultural Anthropology, and should have prior teaching experience, minimally as a TA in Anthropology courses, with knowledge of cultural anthropology at the undergraduate level. It is desirable for the applicant to demonstrate the capacity to teach ANTH 2302 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, and possibly also ANTH 4310 - Theories of Culture, among other courses.
